On the outskirts of Alcamo, is Baglio Fastuchera, a large Villa active today as a successful three-star Rural Tourism Hotel, typical of 19th century rural architecture. Alcamo is close to the charming seaside town of Castellammare del Golfo and the bustling capital of Palermo with its International airport is less than 30 mins drive away. The building has undergone a careful renovation completed in 2006. It is immersed in nature and has a panoramic view over the wine-growing valley of the Freddo River. It is in the immediate vicinity of the 'Bosco d'Alcamo' Nature Reserve. The Baglio has a large parking area and has the availability of 15 beds in 6 rooms, including 3 triples, one double with sitting area and third bed, one double and one single. Each room has a bathroom with shower and hairdryer, television, air conditioning, minibar and safe. It also has a large restaurant area with a large professional kitchen and outdoor areas where you can entertain banquets. Planning permission for a swimming pool is in the process of being approved. The sale of the Baglio includes about seven hectares of olive groves. It is a unique construction in an area where no further developments are allowed, providing future proof tranquility and natural beauty. The structure adheres to the Franciscan Routes in Sicily project, and is an excellent starting point for visiting an area rich in cultural, artistic, natural and archaeological beauties.
